Portuguese star sports Croatian kit whilst on holidays

The Portuguese international Matheus Nunes has posted a photo on Instagram wearing a Croatian football shirt.

At first glance, this may seem unusual, but Nunes is teammates with Joško Gvardiol and Mateo Kovačić at Manchester City, and it appears that he has developed a special friendship with Gvardiol.

In the photo, Nunes is seen wearing Gvardiol’s match shirt from the friendly the two sides played before Euro 2024.

Perhaps it was a deal they made when they swapped shirts that day that they would sport each other’s kit on holidays.

Earlier this month, Gvardiol shared a picture of himself wearing Nunes’s Portuguese national team shirt whilst holidaying in Croatia.

This gesture highlights the camaraderie between the players.
