There could be trouble in Zagreb on Wednesday after French football club Paris St Germain warned Croatian authorities on Sunday that “potentially harmful” fans are expected to turn up in the Croatian capital for Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League fixture against Dinamo Zagreb.
“In spite of this decision, steady rumours make us fear that a hundred people, all considered potentially harmful, will go to Zagreb on their own for this game,” the club said in a statement.
Club officials earlier said that no tickets would be sold to the Dinamo Zagreb fixture, in fear of trouble erupting with Dinamo’s renowned Bad Blue Boys fans. European football’s governing body UEFA has branded Wednesday’s clash as risky.
