According to Goal.com, Real Madrid are set to sign the former Dinamo Zagreb star for around €35 million from Inter Milan. Real Madrid made a €30m offer for Kovačić which was rejected, and have bumped that the price in the hope of signing the tricky midfielder.
If the rumours come true then Kovačić will join international teammate and former Dinamo Zagreb star Luka Modrić. Kovačić scored 5 goals in 35 appearances for Inter Milan last season and has been a target for a number of Europe’s top sides.
