Record: 11.6 Million Tourists Visit Croatia in First 8 Months

In the period from 1 January 2015 – 31 August 11.6 million tourists visited Croatia, which is 9.2% more than the same period last year, according to data from the Chamber of Commerce…

The 11.6 million tourists created nearly 60 million overnight stays, which was 7.4% more than in the first 8 months of 2014 and a new record.

In August alone there were 3.87 million tourist arrivals and 23.7 million overnight stays, which was 7.1% and 5.5% more respectively than last August. There was a significant increase in overnight stays created by local tourists (growth of 8.5%), whilst foreign visitors created 5.3% more overnight stays than last year.
