Record: Oldest Coach In Europe A Croat

Legendary Croatian football coach Miroslav “Ciro” Blazevic, who is back coaching in Croatia with NK Zagreb after stints in China and Iran, is officially the oldest coach of a 1st Division side in the whole of Europe.
Blazevic, who turns 79 in February, is one of four coaches in their 70’s who are in charge of 1st Division sides in Europe. Joszef Garami (73) at MTK in Hungary, Craig Brown (72) at Aberdeen and Alex Ferguson (70) at Manchester United all join Blazevic as coaches in their 7th decade still calling the shots at European clubs.
The oldest coach in the history of football was Welsh Ivor Powell, who at the age of 90 was in charge at Bath, writes Vecernji list.
