Local fishermen have caught the largest ever tuna from Croatia’s Adriatic sea, reports local television…
The record tuna catch, which weighed 260 kilograms and measured 2.8 metres in length, was made 6 nautical miles off Rovinj on Croatia’s northern Adriatic early on Friday morning by local fishermen on board the fishing boat Abyss.
“The struggle lasted two and a half hours, but we got it. We are proud,” the boat’s captain Ozren Božić said as the crew posed with the record catch on Saturday.
Tourists and locals lined up to take photos of the tuna, which ended up feeding more than 750 people who celebrated on Saturday. (screenshot HRT)
