The Croatian boxing legend who lost on points after twelve rounds against Lennox Lewis when he fought for the World Heavyweight Champion title in 1998, is set to shock fans and come out of retirement.
Zeljko Mavrovic (43) is currently in training and reported to be making a return to the ring after his business, producing his own line of eco-friendly food, went bust leaving him heavily indebted to the banks.
The former European champion says that he will make a decision in the new year but with every training he is getting closer and closer to a return.
Mavrovic’s Golden Glove win remains the biggest trophy in the history of Croatian Heavyweight boxing. He was also named Croatian sportsperson of the year twice.
