ZAGREB, 30 March 2021 – Ryanair has announced today the opening of a new base in the Croatian capital Zagreb with two aircraft, 36 weekly flights and 12 new routes connecting Zagreb with a multitude of international routes across Europe.
Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson said:
“We are delighted to have launched a new Croatian base that represents an investment worth $200 million in Zagreb. This development will create over 60 direct jobs and this summer we will offer our Croatian customers many attractive European destinations, including popular destinations such as Rome, Milan, Paris and London.
Keeping in mind that restrictions due to COVID-19 change regularly, customers can now book flights for a well-deserved vacation, knowing that if they need to postpone or change the travel date, they can do so up to twice with a free flight change fee until the end of October 2021.
To celebrate the launch of the new Zagreb base and new routes, we are launching the sale of seats at prices of 151 kuna for travel until the end of March 2022, which must be booked by midnight on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Since these incredibly low prices, prices will increase rapidly, and customers should log in to www.ryanair.com as soon as possible and avoid missing out on this fantastic price.”
Ryanair’s new routes from Zagreb are Paris, London, Rome, Milan, Brussels, Frankfurt Hahn, Memmingem, Karlsruhe, Dortmund, Gothenburg, Podgorica and Oslo Thorpe.
“Zagreb International Airport is glad to welcome Ryanair’s arrival, which will not only enable all interested passengers to travel directly to more destinations but will also increase the number of visitors, which will directly contribute to the economy and affect the development of tourism in Croatia, especially in Zagreb,” stated Huseyin Bahadir Bedir, President and CEO of the International Zagreb Airport.
