SalajLand: Everything ready for winter wonderland in Čazma

19 November 2020 – Croatia’s most famous family Christmas story will open to the public next weekend. 

For the last 19 years, the Salaj family home in Grabovnica near the central Croatian town of Čazma has been a major attraction for locals and tourists.

“19 years ago, Mr. Zlatko Salaj only wanted to create holidays that he couldn’t have as a child. But, when you put your heart and soul into a project when you are driven only by your desire to make the ones around you joyful as they should be at Christmas time, then you are bound to receive something in return.

Almost two decades later it is not only random passers-by that stop to see what Mr. Zlatko is doing this year, it is more than 120,000 people from all over the world that visit him and this unique attraction.

And he still creates a different design for each year, he still greets every visitor with the biggest smile and goes above and beyond to give you the best Christmas story you have ever seen. And that is not something that you easily miss on,” SalajLand says.

This holiday season, around 5 million lights will turn Salajland theme park into a winter wonderland. Salajland will be open to the public from 27 November 2020 – 12 January 2021.

Salajland will be open every day from 3 pm to 10 pm.

Entry fee: 40,00 kuna per person
Groups (30 +): 35 kuna per person
Kids under 7 with an adult: Free
People with disabilities: Free 

Organisers say they are closely monitoring the epidemiological situation and will fully adapt to the measures that will be in force at the time of the event.
