The Saudi Prince, who is currently staying in the presidential suit at the luxury Esplande Hotel, has arrived unannounced without any fanfare. Al-Waleed (59), whose estimated wealth of 21.4 billion USD makes him the 30th richest person in the world, arrived in Zagreb with a delegation of 30 on Monday. Daily Vecernji list reports that the Prince is in town to check out some possible investment opportunities.
Al-Waleed has spent his down time in the capital by riding a bicycle around the city and checking out the sites around town. Al-Waleed, who is a renowned investor, is the founder, CEO and 95 percent-owner of the Kingdom Holding Company, a Forbes Global 2000 company with investments in companies within various sectors such as banking and financial services, hotels and hotel management companies, mass media, entertainment, retail, agriculture, petrochemicals, aviation, technology, and real estate.
