September temperature records looks set to be broken across Croatia as the country basks in a late summer heat wave…
Temperatures have been above average this week and are set to peak on Friday. Parts of the Dalmatian coast have seen temperatures not drop below 25°C at night, with Knin (37°C), Šibenik (35°C), Dubrovnik and Makarska the warmest spots on the coast.
It has not been any cooler for inland Croatia with Slavonia in the east recording 37°C. Record September temperatures could be set on Friday, the met office warns. Cooler weather is expected to arrive on Sunday.
