Šibenik Becomes First Dalmatian Town to Introduce Park & Ride Bikes

Šibenik has become the first town in the popular tourist region of Dalmatian to introduce the public bike rent concept Park & Ride…
Locals and tourists will from today be able to rent one of the Nextbike’s 40 bikes from 4 stations located around the town. The project has been implemented by the Šibenik Council with the aim not only in provinding more services for tourists, but also in reducing traffic congestion and solving parking problems, whilst being economically and environmentally sustainable and improving the quality of life in the town.
Users must register in the system via the website www.nextbike.hr before being able to use a bike, which will cost 4 kuna (0.50 euro) an hour, 20 kuna (2.50 euro) for 4-6 hours, and 40 kuna (5.00 euro) for 12 hours. (pic: Nextbike)
