Sibenik’s SUPERTOON Opens Doors This Sunday

If you happen to be in the Sibenik area on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast next week then be sure not to miss the 3rd Supetoon – International Animation Festival, the newest addition to Sibenik’s magnificent summer offering which is held from 28 July – 2 August. Don’t miss your chance to see great, groundbreaking and fun animated films and music videos from all over the world. Entrance to all the programmes and side events is free.
The 3rd Supertoon’s programme includes hundreds of brilliant animated films in various Competitions (divided into Short Films, Films for Kids and Animated music video sections) and various side programmes such as ANIMATRAZ (screened in the dungeon of Sibenik’s City Museum) in which visitors will be able to learn more about the history of animated films and have a unique chance to see the documentary film ”1001 Drawings” directed by Oscar-winning Croatian animated film author Dušan Vukotić, POPCORN TOONS (featuring legendary animated opening film credits such as Vertigo and North by Northwest by Saul Bass) and so much more.
Screenings of animated music videos will take place every night from 10 and 11 pm at The Beach Cinema situated at Banj beach where visitors will be able to enjoy music, films and sip cocktails.
