Šibenik’s traditional Easter Monday breakfast held for 20th time

For the 20th time, the traditional free Easter Monday breakfast for locals and tourists has been held again in the Croatian city of Šibenik today.
Today’s breakfast, which was attended by scores of both locals and tourists on Pavao Šubić Square, was organised by the Tourist Board of the City of Šibenik, in collaboration with the Šibenik Association of Craftsmen and the City of Šibenik.
The caterers, members of the Šibenik Association of Craftsmen, who also prepared the favourite mega frittata, took care of the table full of home-made dishes, delicacies and desserts.
Šibenik Mayor Željko Burić greeted guests on the Square and wished them a happy and blessed Easter, and Joso Smolić, president of the Šibenik Association of Craftsmen, joined in the congratulations.
The festive meal was blessed by the cathedral pastor, Don Krešimir Mateša.
The Šibenik Folk Music, the Šibenik City Guard, the Šibenik Majorettes, the Cvrčak Children’s Choir and two Balarin Ethno Playhouses, one from the Šibenik Maslina Kindergarten and the other from the Smilje Kindergarten, participated in the appropriate cultural and artistic program.
The festive atmosphere of Easter Monday was enhanced by the Ciao band.
