Sinj to Host National Pršut Fair

The best pršut producers in the country will gather once again in the inland Dalmatian town of Sinj for the 13th National Pršut and Cured Meat Fair.
The fair, which is one of the biggest of its kind in the region, will be held this year from 23-24 March at Hotel Alkar in Sinj.
For the 13th year in the row, the fair will see the leading pršut and cured meat producers in Croatia, as well as producers from Slovenia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, gather to present their delicacies to a large crowd that is expected to turn out once again to the popular fair.
The fair will also have an educational and competition aspect. Lectures and expert roundtables will be held, and also a competition to judge the best pršuts and cured meat products at the fair.
Pršut from the areas of Drniš in Dalmatia, the island of Krk and Istria have all been protected at EU level.
As well as pršut and cured meats, visitors will be able to try cheeses, olive oil, soparnik, homemade bread and wine at the fair.
