The 4th Annual Acappella (Dalmatian klapa) Concert in the Canadian city of Windsor will take place next month.
The popular concert will take place on 12 January 2019 at 6:30 pm at the St Francis of Assisi Parish Hall, at 1701 Turner Rd.
“At this concert, you will see performances of three, all Canadian vocal ensembles; klapa Kartolina and youth klapa Fritule, both from Windsor and for the first time in Windsor, klapa Maestral from Toronto,” organisers said.
Klapa Maestral Toronto is an all-male vocal ensemble founded in 2013 and since their inception, they strived to promote traditional Acappella and modern songs from beautiful Dalmatia and share them with Croatian and Canadian public through concerts and public appearances at festivals and multicultural events.
Over the years Klapa Maestral has given concerts in Kitchener, Waterloo, Welland, Mississauga and Toronto, at Croatian Parishes, organised concert/dinner events for the Croatian Community and Retirement Homes in the Greater Toronto Area and participated in many Croatian cultural groups’ anniversary celebrations.
Most notably, they organised and performed at the Three Klapa’s concert in LAC Mississauga in January of 2018, the first of its kind in that area, where klapa Krunik from Kučine, Croatia and klapa Kartolina from Windsor, Canada performed as well.
