Back in April, Croatia took delivery of the first group of Rafale multi-purpose combat aircraft and Croatian Air Force pilots have been undergoing comprehensive training.

Today and tomorrow, regular flight activities will be conducted, during which the breaking of the sound barrier and increased noise are expected in the regions of Lika-Senj, Zadar, Istria, and Primorje-Gorski Kotar Counties.

In recent months, Croatian Air Force pilots have been carrying out flight activities across the entire territory of the Republic of Croatia, and a similar pace of these activities is expected in the upcoming period.

The Rafale pilots continue their training on these powerful aircraft, which began in the first quarter of 2023 in France.

On this occasion, they have sent a message to all Croatian citizens:

“Dear fellow citizens, the noise you hear during the flight of our Rafale aircraft is the sound that preserves the hard-won Croatian freedom. We are pleased that in the coming days, months, and years, this sound will be synonymous with the security of Croatia and all its citizens at all times of the day and night. Best regards from the pilots of the 191st Fighter Squadron.”

Increased noise across Croatia during July

Today and tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday, 22nd and 23rd July 2024, as part of their scheduled tasks, the pilots of the 191st Fighter Squadron will conduct regular flight activities from 14:00 to 19:00.

During these activities, the breaking of the sound barrier and increased noise can be expected, with all safety measures adhered to, in the regions of Lika-Senj, Zadar, Istria, and Primorje-Gorski Kotar Counties.

Additionally, night flights will be conducted from 21:00 to 23:00, during which increased noise can be expected in the regions of Slavonia, Istria, Banovina, and Lika.

Aware that their further training often involves unpleasant noise, the Rafale pilots have sent a message to all Croatian citizens with the hope and belief that together everyone will “continue to strengthen security and maintain the peace of our homeland”.
