Split-Brač team sailing event & beach clean-up to promote sustainable tourism development

Split, 10 October 2019 – Green Sail, an organization that promotes the development of sustainable nautical tourism by proposing preventive and corrective measures for partner marinas and charters, is organizing a team sailing event on Monday, 14 October 2019, in co-organization with ACI Marinas in Croatia, bringing together over 150 participants from partner charters and marinas, volunteers and other guests.

The team sailing event will start in ACI Marina Split at 9am with the gathering of all participants and end in ACI Milna. As part of this team event, immediately after sailing, there will be an organized sea and beach clean-up nearby Milna on the island of Brac, in collaboration with Draulik Diving Center from Milna, Calypso diving club from Omis and numerous volunteers from the organization.

The aim of this team gathering is to connect numerous partner companies interested in protecting the sea and the sea environment in a relaxed nautical environment and to give an opportunity to all members of the Green Sail’s growing business team to connect with each other on the topic of sustainable tourism development in Croatia.

Green Sail’s team event is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, Milna Tourist Board, Euromarine company as the general representative of French boatbuilder Chantiers Jeanneau for Croatia, Musto company as the world-leading sailing clothing and accessories brand, NonCarbon company which uses non-invasive and innovative methods to remove carbon from vehicle engines, and Senjković Winery.

After an organized dinner at Navigare Restaurant (ACI Marina Milna) and before the live music concert, apart from the sailing winners in several categories, the winner of the best charter sustainability initiative will be announced as well. By gathering a large number of partners of the organization at this event, the aim is to not only connect important stakeholders of the Croatian nautical sector, but also contribute to the development and promotion of responsible and sustainable nautical tourism in Croatia.
