Three French backpackers will have good memories from their time in Croatia after a good deed by the Karlovac Tourist Board in central Croatia, when they stepped in to help out the trio who got ‘stuck’ in Croatia with no cash, reports KAPortal…
The three French backpackers made news in Karlovac when they were ‘stuck’ in the town without any cash last week due to a snow storm, after travelling in Turkey. When the Karlovac Tourist Board read the article and saw they were sleeping at the train station, they decided to offer their help and put the thankful tourists up in a hotel in Karlovac, complete with meals, for free, whilst they waited for money to be transferred so they could continue their travels.
“We saw the article and called the station where they were sleeping. We decided to offer them help so they would remember Karlovac for nice things and not just the freezing station,” said Nikolina Lisac from the tourist board.
