In the area where the Pannonian Sea was 16 million years ago, today there are hills, mountains and forests, beautiful valleys, native vineyards, excellent restaurants and about thirty wineries, including some of the most famous in Croatia.
Overshadowed by the Adriatic Sea, not many people associate Slavonia as a place to cool down in during the summer months, but there are options.
Aquapark Shhhuma at Papuk
One of them is the newly opened Aquapark Shhhuma at Papuk, providing sports types, recreationists, families with children, swimmers and all lovers of water attractions with an option during the summer.
The aquapark is located in the green mountain oasis of Papuk in the heart of Slavonia where there was once a thermal springs bathing spot.
On 17,000 m2 n the heart of Papuk Nature Park, there are six pools, including an Olympic-sized pool, a mushroom pool as well a pool with slides, a slow river with a water bar, a children’s water tower, a sprinkler and more.
There are also restaurants and cafes on site.
The program also includes the House of the Pannonian Sea, Adrenaline Park Duboka and a walk through Papuk accompanied by rangers. A great choice for a trip.
There are options to purchase day or half-day passes. Aquapark Shhhuma, which is a play on the Croatian world for forest šuma, is open from 9 am – 10 pm daily.
