Talented 16-year-old Petra Marčinko wins another tennis title

ZAGREB, 20 March 2022 – Talented 16-year-old Croatian tennis player Petra Marčinko has won her second professional singles title in consecutive weeks.
Petra has won the ITF Turkey 10A in Antalya on Sunday to claim her second professional title in as many weeks.
The teenage Croatian beat Italy’s Elisabetta Cocciaretto in today’s final 1:6, 6:4, 6:4 to the win her second 25K level tournament.
Petra has now won her last 25 matches in a row, 15 of them coming this year.
Last week, Petra beat France’s Carole Monnet 6:4, 6:1 in the final of the ITF Turkey 09A in Antalya to claim her first professional title. The tournament was Petra’s first at the 25K level.

The talented Croatian is the world no.1 junior girls tennis player and won the 2022 Australian Open junior girls title.
She had an impressive 2021 as a junior when she won the U18 singles and doubles title at the famous Orange Bowl International Tennis Championships in Florida.
Ranked 572nd on the WTA list before the tournament, Petra is expected to make a big jump when the rankings are released on Monday.
