Talk-Show Host In Hot Water After Lie

A talk-show host on state-owned Croatian TV station HRT faces disciplinary action after claiming that his show was being broadcast live when in fact it was a recording.

Peter Vlahov has hit the headlines after he asked viewers to phone in questions for his guest on Wednesday’s “live” edition of his talk-show Kontakt. Vlahov’s guest in studio was Tihana Nemcic, the first female coach of a football team in the Croatian league. Midway through the interview he prompted viewers to call in live to ask Nemcic questions.

It has been reported that the show and the phone-in questions were pre-recorded even though Vlahov said the show was going out live. It is the second time in a week HRT has hit the headlines, on Sunday they introduced a guest on another talk-show as an economic expert with four doctrines, when in fact he had nothing of the sort.
