In the heart of Zagreb’s Maksimir Park, at the crossroads of all its pedestrian paths, lies Vidikovac Cafe, formerly known as Vidikovac Kiosk.

For the first time in over 50 years, Vidikovac has now opened a terrace on its first floor.

Standing at 17 metres tall and over 180 years old, Vidikovac has witnessed many significant events in Zagreb’s history. Its star moment came in the legendary film by Krešo Golik, Tko pjeva zlo ne misli.

According to legend, 70 years before this musical comedy, Ferdinand Budicki enjoyed a beer at Vidikovac after the first car ride in Zagreb.

Music Evenings

Vidikovac is now managed by model and DJ Saša Buterin, also known by his artistic name Sasha Agram.

After thirty years of working and living in cities such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Saša has returned to his hometown of Zagreb to oversee the Vidikovac space and project.

“Organising additional events in such a beautiful monument is a wonderful challenge. We have started hosting music evenings of various genres on Vidikovac’s upper terrace. Currently, these events are held only on Fridays and Saturdays from 6 PM, with a limited number of visitors. We hope that everyone will find something to their taste. Just follow our social media updates for the latest information on events,” says Saša.
