The Croatian inventions that won big in Geneva

ZAGREB, 13 April 2025 (Hina) – Croatia has once again demonstrated its innovative strength, this time at the milestone 50th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva – Inventions Geneva – held from 9 to 13 April.

Croatian inventors took home three gold medals, five bronze medals, and three special international awards.

Around ten Croatian inventors presented their ideas among more than 1,000 inventions from some 50 countries worldwide, according to a statement from the Croatian Association of Innovators and the Croatian Association of Technical Culture, which organised the country’s participation in the event.

This year’s edition of the exhibition attracted over 60,000 visitors. Croatian innovators showcased solutions in the fields of technology, mechanisation, energy, ecology, and sustainable development.

“The aim was to highlight creativity and technical excellence, but also to make business connections and attract potential investors to help bring their ideas to market,” the organisers said.

The gold medals were awarded to three innovations:

• “Technology for Sterilising and Processing Raw Wool into Eco-Fertiliser and Eco-Repellent” by innovator Dragica Jerkov from Fema d.o.o., who also received a special award from Saudi Arabia.
