Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2023 – 10-Day Rally to Celebrate 10 Years
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the most beautiful and quietest rally in the world, the “Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2023.” The rally will take place over 10 days, from June 19th to 28th, 2023, and is divided into 3 stages.
The first stage, as is tradition, will be held in Istria, starting with the official ceremony and participant accreditation in Rovinj.
Over the course of four days in Istria, participants will visit numerous cultural landmarks, enjoy wine and gastronomic delicacies, and engage in the first sports competition at the private airport in Vrsar, the “Aero-club Vrsar.”
After the competition, participants will even have the opportunity to take a scenic flight over Istria and explore the region from the air.
Following Istria, the participants will head south along the coastal road to Split, where the second stage of the rally takes place. Split will serve as a base from which participants will drive to Pelješac, crossing the spectacular Pelješac Bridge.
They will have the chance to indulge in a wine tasting at one of our renowned wineries and savour oysters. This year, we will also visit Trogir for the first time and not miss the opportunity to explore the Red and Blue Lakes in Imotski.
The route will also include a visit to Šibenik, where vehicles will be displayed on the Riva promenade. Participants can explore the old town, visit landmarks such as the St. Michael’s Fortress and St. James Cathedral, and also make a stop at the Krka National Park.
The third and final stage, lasting four days, will take place in Zadar and Zadar County. Participants will engage in the second part of the sports program at the Višnjik Sports Center, visit cultural landmarks, and take a private boat tour of the Kornati National Park. The rally will culminate in the grand award ceremony and prize distribution at St. John’s Fortress in Šibenik.
This year’s route is 1,250 km long and traverses scenic roads through seven counties, four national parks, and sixteen cities. The participants, who are primarily foreigners from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (with a significant number from the UK this year), will have the opportunity to experience the best of what Croatia, as a tourist destination, has to offer.
The program combines the exploration of natural beauty, cultural heritage, wine and gastronomy, and sports experiences, ensuring a good time for all. The breathtaking panoramic routes through the inland and along the coast will leave many in awe.
This unique “e-luxury” tour, successfully combining e-mobility and tourism for the tenth consecutive year, has become a recognisable brand throughout Europe and beyond. It promotes Croatia as an “e-mobility friendly” tourist destination and serves as an excellent example of promoting sustainable tourism. It has gained recognition from the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) as a partner project year after year.
