ZAGREB, March 25 (Hina) – Three members of the Croatian military contingent in Lithuania are infected with the COVID-19 virus, the national civil protection service told a press conference in Zagreb on Wednesday morning.
“Three soldiers in Lithuania have coronavirus, and 39 member of the Croatian army contingent have been placed in self-isolation. Results for one of them are pending,” Brigadier General Boris Zdilar said.
Davor Bozinovic, the Minister of the Interior and head of the national civil protection service, said that all commercial flights within Croatia would be suspended.
“International air transport has basically come to a halt, while commercial flights within Croatia have been reduced to a minimum and are going to be suspended. The airports, other than Dubrovnik’s, will remain open in the event of emergency flights,” Bozinovic said, recalling that Dubrovnik airport had been closed before due to the coronavirus outbreak.
