A red-hot atmosphere in the Serbian city of Kraljevo awaits the Croatian Davis Cup tennis team this Friday when the two nations meet in the World Group first round…
Serbia have selected the small Kraljevo venue for the tie to ensure a sell-out, and after within just 13 minutes of going on sale, all 3,100 tickets for the clash had been sold. Serbia’s number one Novak Đoković however suspects that the tickets were not fairly sold.
“I am extremely disappointed. It is impossible that they sold out in 13 minutes. Actually it is possible if you only release 50 for sale, and the tickets on the internet, where it was also possible to buy tickets, where not released for sale. It seems in the end they were all sold before they even were released for sale. It is clear that someone has breached the law and must be responsible for that,” Đoković said to Blic.
Marin Čilić, Borna Ćorić, Mate Delić and Marin Draganja will take on Serbia starting on 6 March. The winner will face the winner of the Argentina v Brazil tie.
