Tjedan odmora vrijedan: Discounts at Croatian tourist destinations from 16-25 Oct

ZAGREB, 24 September 2020 – From 16 – 25 October, the Tjedan odmora vrijedan – A week of rest is worthwhile – a project offering all citizens discounts at tourist destinations around the country will take place.
The project, organised by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport and the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Economy and partners, is designed to encourage domestic tourist traffic outside the summer season.
Through the 10-day promotion, citizens of Croatia and all those interested will be able to visit and get to know different parts of the country at 50 percent lower prices on numerous tourist services, from accommodation, transport, sights to catering services, and various experiences.
During the campaign in October, numerous promotional offers will be offered and the intention is to continue it regularly during different parts of the year, the Ministry said.
Business entities will register their discounts on the website – tjedanodmoravrijedan.hr, which will be active for service users.
One of Croatia’s most popular destinations, Plitvice Lakes National Park, has joined the campaign and will offer tickets for 50 kuna for adults and 20 runs for kids. Normal prices in October are 180 kuna for adults and 50 kuna for kids.
According to data from the eVisitor system, in 2019, domestic tourists realised 2.4 million tourist arrivals and 13.8 million overnight stays, or about 12 percent of total arrivals and overnight stays last year in Croatia.
So far in 2020, domestic tourists made up for 1.3 million arrivals and 9.6 million overnight stays, which is about 20 percent of total tourist arrivals and overnight stays in 2020.
