Which country is the easiest to learn to drive in?

Analysing the costs of exams, as well as their difficulty and the age at which you are allowed to drive, Zutobi has compiled a ranking of countries around the world where it is easiest, but also most difficult, to learn to drive, as well as the costs of obtaining a driver’s license.

According to the research, Croatia is at the top of list.

Countries where passing the driver’s test is the most difficult:

1. Croatia

According to this research, Croatia has ended up in first place among countries where passing the driver’s test is the most difficult.

The reason cited is the expensive and strict conditions that require a large amount of learning and monitoring to pass. They also mention that the average number of hours required to obtain a driver’s license is 85 hours, and it is a legal requirement to have those hours before you can even take the exam.

However, it should be noted that the minimum number of hours candidates must pass for category B in Croatian driving schools is 65, which includes 30 hours of theory and 35 hours of driving.

For each failed exam, candidates need to spend an additional minimum of 3 hours, which makes the figure of 85 hours quite stretched. Croatians also have to present more medical certificates and spend around 1085 euros to pass all exams and obtain the license, N1 writes.

2. Brazil
3. Hungary
4. Bahrain
5. Montenegro

Countries where passing the driver’s test is the most expensive:

1. Croatia

Croatia has also taken the first place when it comes to the cost of driver’s tests. Croatians have to pay an average of £824 (960 euros) more than most countries.

2. Malaysia

The Malaysian driver’s test is very thorough and therefore very expensive, requiring candidates to pass theoretical and practical exams. In addition, Malaysians must spend 33 hours in classes. Although the total cost of £505 (588 euros) is £400 (466 euros) lower than Croatia’s, it is still expensive enough to take second place.

3. Andorra

The tiny Pyrenean principality of Andorra is the third most expensive country to take the driver’s test, with a total cost of just over £400 (466 euros). Since Andorra is so small, all tests are conducted one day a week in the same testing centre.

Countries where passing the driver’s test is the cheapest:

1. Pakistan

The Pakistani driver’s test is incredibly cheap, in fact, the price is less than 200 PKR (1.20 euros), N1 writes.

2. India
3. Vietnam
