The Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) kicked off its ‘Visit Croatia. Share Croatia’ campaign this week on a number of global internet sites and social media, as beefs up promotion of the country throughout the world as a destination ahead of the summer season…
HTZ want you to ‘Take a selfie photograph or make a selfie video, use the hashtag #LoveCroatia and #ShareCroatia, and share it on social networks you prefer’. The marketing campaign was created by the agency BBDO – Zagreb and will use the HTZ Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Google+, Pinterest and FourSquare platforms . A special website, www.sharecroatia.hr, will be set up where those who visit Croatia can share their experiences with others.
The campaign will be supported by offline advertising, with billboards, bus adverts and other advertising in European cities and others around the world. This year for online advertising HTZ will have a budget of around 4.2 million euros, and just over 7.5 million for offline advertising. Most of the internet advertising budget will be spent in Germany (24%), followed by Poland (10%), Austria and Italy (9% each), Czech Republic and UK (7% each)and Scandinavia (5%).
