Tourist Board of the Town of Bakar has won the prestigious international tourism award GOLDEN INTERSTAS 2020,

The Tourist Board of the Town of Bakar in Croatia has won the prestigious international tourism award GOLDEN INTERSTAS 2020, thus securing a place in the international club of those responsible for tourism.

Encouraged by many years of efforts and activities of the Tourist Board of Bakar, and at the initiative of Mr. Sime Strikoman, the International Commission of Tourist Journalists proposed the candidacy of the Tourist Board of Bakar for the prestigious international tourism award GOLDEN INTERSTAS 2020, and Mayor Mr. Tomislav Klaric, President of the Tourist Board. SPECIAL AWARD OF INTERSTAS 2020.

The candidacy was justified by very creative professional achievements and excellence in presenting the richness of tourism, traditional values and culture of Bakar despite all this year’s problems with the coronavirus. The assessment is that the Tourist Board of the Town of Bakar has made a significant contribution to the overall Bakar tourism, and thus of Croatia as a whole.

The Executive Directory of the event in cooperation with the Central Committee of FEST / European Federation of Tourist Journalists and Writers/, has made a decision to present international tourism awards for this year: an individual recognition to Mr. Tomislav Klarić and a collective award to TB of the Town of Bakar for excellence and high-quality contribution to the development of tourism in the Town of Bakar.

The award will be presented on November 13 in Solin at the 27th INTERSTAS – International Festival of Tourism, Tourist Film and Landscape.
