When two foreign families found out that they were on the wrong ferry, they somehow managed to get the captain to turn back to shore…
Two families, one French and the other Italian, had earlier in the day purchased ferry tickets in Split for Supetar on the island of Brač, but after somehow managing to board the wrong ferry they realised after 15 minutes that they were not going to their desired destination. The ferry they were on board was heading to Šolta, and after kicking up a fuss, they managed to persuade the Jadrolinija ferry staff and captain to turn back and drop back at the port in Split where the boat departed from, writes daily Slobodna Dalmacija.
The rest of the passengers on board the ‘right’ ferry to Šolta were understandably not too pleased as their ferry was delayed and arrived on the island just before midnight.
