On Easter Monday, the Tourist Board of the City of Šibenik, in collaboration with the Šibenik Association of Craftsmen and the City of Šibenik, organised the 19th annual Easter breakfast on Pavao Šubić Square.
The event, held on April 10, 2023, brought together numerous locals and visitors to celebrate the holiday.
The Šibenik Association of Craftsmen, known for their delicious homemade dishes, prepared a rich holiday table filled with delicacies and sweets, including the favourite mega frittata.
The festive meal was blessed by the cathedral pastor, Don Krešimir Mateša.
The Mayor of Šibenik, Željko Burić, welcomed the guests and wished them a happy and blessed Easter. Joso Smolić, president of the Šibenik Association of Craftsmen, also joined in the congratulations.
The cultural and artistic program included performances by the Šibenik Folk Music, the Šibenik City Guard, the Šibenik Majorettes, the Cvrčak Children’s Choir, and two Balarin Ethno Playhouses from local kindergartens.
The Sebenico klapa added to the festive atmosphere of Easter Monday.
This year’s Easter breakfast in Šibenik was even more exciting with the addition of the Easter Oldtimer Promo Tour. Oldtimers from various parts of Croatia, including Šibenik, Zadar, Split, Trilj, Omiš, Dugi Rat, and Istria, paraded and parked along the Šibenik waterfront.
Members of oldtimer clubs from Slovenia also showcased their rare classic cars.
The traditional Easter breakfast in Šibenik continues to be a popular event among locals and visitors, promoting the city’s cultural heritage and culinary traditions.
