Another edition of the T10 European Cricket Series/European Cricket Internationals (ECS/ECI) Croatia event has started in Zagreb, Croatia (9th – 22nd September 2024).
With 8 teams participating from four countries in the T10 ECS event and three countries participating in the men’s and women’s T10 ECI event, with over 200 players involved and a wonderful European Cricket Network (ECN) crew and live commentary from the ECN commentators.
“We also have to mention all of our wonderful volunteers, match officials, local and foreign umpires for their help and support throughout the T10 ECS/ECI event. This year in 2024, we are so proud to announce that one of the ECI/ECS Croatia umpires will be Jasmine Naeem. This wonderful lady is making a big name for herself in the cricket world and we are thrilled to see her grow! She has visited us in Zagreb last year with the ICC Tutor Umpire course where she shared her knowledge and experiences with the participants who hope to follow in her footsteps. Welcome Jasmine, Jasmine Naeem aka “The REAL Hat Trick,”“ ECN said, before adding.
“Jasmine has always had a passion and love for cricket from a young age. Jasmine has not only confessed that cricket plays a major role in her life, but it has also saved her life.
Through her passion and multiple sacrifices for the game, Jasmine became a wicketkeeper who went on to play with an all male team, and soon became the team captain.
All the years of playing cricket and its memories, Jasmine will always treasure it.
Jasmine went on to play for most of her career at all levels of cricket, but as with many great stories, tragedy stuck and changed Jasmine’s career and life. Jasmine stayed strong and, with determination, fought for her life and career back.
However, all hopes were not lost as soon as you can say “Howszat” Jasmine’s career and life took a 360 turn as she found not only her best friend but her life partner or as she states her cricket life partner who drew her back not only to play the game but coach and umpire the next generation of cricket lovers.
Jasmine has gone on to coach at all levels, whether it is female or male, even winning some tournaments. Jasmine has inspired all generations, cultures, and diversities from all ages to pick up the bat or ball, and in her case, the wicketkeeping gloves.

Jasmine is now an ECB and ICC International Professional umpire and tutor. In addition to this, Jasmine is one of the first ICC Master Educators to work around the world, educating, inspiring, and tutoring not only the next generation of professional umpires but tutors too.
Jasmine has gone through difficult times to return and break many records, each one she counts as a blessing. She is the first British Muslim Professional Female Umpire and she wholeheartedly has expressed that hopefully, she is not the last.
Jasmine’s wise words for all are: “Love What You Do and Look Good Whilst Doing It” “
