The trailer fo the biographical movie Lee, which tells the story of the American photographer Lee Miller and was filmed in Croatia, has been released.

The film, which stars Oscar-winner Kate Winslet and will hit theatres in September, was filmed in Dubrovnik.

The trailer has had over 465,000 views since its release.

Apart from Winslet in the lead role, the cast also includes Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Josh O’Connor, Andy Samberg, and Alexander Skarsgård. The film is directed by the award-winning Ellen Kuras.

The film is based on the book The Lives of Lee Miller by her son, historian Antony Penrose. It covers the period from 1938 to 1948, revealing the life behind the lens of the only female war correspondent in Europe at that time.

One of the filming locations was the former Grand Hotel, which was heavily damaged during the Croatian War of Independence.

In this context, it represents ruins from the Second World War, a fitting backdrop as it was during this time that Lee Miller emerged as a fearless war photographer and correspondent for the British edition of Vogue magazine, Journal.hr writes.

The film had its official premiere last year at the Toronto International Film Festival, but it will have its cinema premiere on 13th September in the United Kingdom, and be released on 27th September.
