Trogir’s Winter Adventure 2024 is set to deliver its most exciting programme yet, featuring free concerts, dazzling decorations, and family-friendly fun over 30 days.
The Winter Adventure 2024 programme was unveiled held today by Marin Piveta, Director of Trogir’s Tourist Board, and Viktor Novak, Deputy Mayor of Trogir.
This year’s Winter Adventure runs from 6 December to 5 January, transforming Trogir into a magical holiday destination with dazzling new decorations. The seventh edition of this festival will begin with a free concert by one of Croatia’s longest-standing rock bands, Prljavo Kazalište.
Deputy Mayor Viktor Novak highlighted the event’s success:
“This will be the seventh edition of Winter Adventure. Over the years, our Advent has become a recognisable brand and was even named the best in Dalmatia last year.
We’re continuing in the same direction this year. The City of Trogir and its Tourist Board are investing extra funds in festive decorations to transform the city into a magical holiday setting for residents and visitors alike.
The youngest will also enjoy the funfair, which will once again be set up in the T1 car park. Additionally, the Adventura Trail race, offering 5 km and 11 km routes, will return, having attracted many participants last year.”
Marin Piveta, Director of Trogir’s Tourist Board, shared more details:
“This year’s Winter Adventure is our most extensive yet, spanning 30 days and five locations across the city. Importantly, all events are free for everyone.
Our goal is to provide both locals and visitors with high-quality entertainment during the winter months. The programme kicks off on 6 December with a free concert by the legendary band Prljavo Kazalište.
Across 30 days, we’ll host 23 concerts featuring top domestic and regional stars, 15 children’s events, sports activities, culinary presentations, and DJ performances. We’ve also invited local artists to showcase their talents, including performances from several local bands.
Additionally, parking will be free throughout Advent. Last year’s event welcomed around 100,000 visitors over the month, proving just how much Winter Adventure has grown.”
A diverse and exciting programme
Following the grand opening, December will feature performances by popular musicians such as Željko Bebek (21 December), Hari Mata Hari (28 December), Adi Šoša (20 December), Divlje Jagode (13 December), Minea (14 December), Crvena Jabuka (23 December), Sanja, Marinko, and Zec (performing hits from Novi Fosili) (26 December), Vojko V (27 December), Daleka Obala (1 January), Bosutski Bećari (7 December), Damir Kedžo & Zsa Zsa (30 December), Domenica (morning concert – 21 December), and Grupa Cambi (4 January).
New Year’s Eve celebrations will be led by Giuliano & Diktatori, with XXS Band performing at the morning countdown.
A Magical Christmas for All Ages
Children will be especially delighted this year with visits from St. Nicholas, St. Lucy, and Santa Claus, as well as a variety of creative workshops, interactive activities, and children’s plays to ensure a memorable winter holiday.
Local musicians and bands will also add to the festive atmosphere, including Trogir’s Kanti group, who will perform on Christmas Eve during the traditional bakalar (codfish stew) distribution. Classical music enthusiasts can enjoy concerts by students of the Josip Hatze Music School and Trogir’s String Orchestra.
Visitors can look forward to creating cherished memories with loved ones while enjoying live music, the aroma of mulled wine, and tasty treats from food stalls in the beautifully decorated city of Trogir, the “Town of Masters”.
