The first Croatian Juice Bar chain Fruit Land, and television presenter Renata Sopek are to join forces as the chain continues its assault on the Croatian market with a new bar set to open in Dubrovnik.
“I love to exercise, but without healthy and natural food there are no good results. For a while I have been looking for a project connected with healthy food, and I like Fruit Land because it is a local company started by women, and they make healthy drinks and fruit salads. Since they are not present yet in the south of Dalmatia, Dubrovnik seemed to us like the ideal place to start the business with drinks and fresh fruit and vegetable salads which locals and tourist love. That is why I decided to go into partnership with the chain’s owner Laura Čubrilo”, said Sopek, who also has a fitness show on TV.
Fruit Land is the first Croatian “smoothie” brand and was started 6 years ago by Čubrilo. Fruit Land juice bars currently operate in four locations in Croatia – Bol and Supetar on the island of Brac, and 2 in Vodice. In spring 2014 a bar will open in the capital Zagreb, with Dubrovnik making it 6 bars in total.
“That is the trend in Hollywood, where Sarah Jessica Parker and Gwyneth Paltrow promote this way (healthy) of life, and Salma Hayek has become co-owner of the juice bar chain cooler clense,” said Fruit Land owner Čubrilo to Vecernji list, who says interest is growing from other entrepeneurs who want to open a Fruit Land franchise in Croatia.
