For the first time in Dubrovnik, two businesses in tourism are now accepting cryptocurrency as payment.
D’vino Wine Bar and Ivan’s Dubrovnik Tours are opening the doors to cryptocurrency as a form of payment.
Run by Australian-born wine enthusiast Sasha Lusic, D’vino Wine Bar is located the heart of Dubrovnik Old Town, in Palmoticeva Street.
“It is a simple and easy system to use, straight through the POS, no hassle, no wait, at the fraction of the normal banking fees,” Sasha explains.
Dubrovnik’s leading tour guide, Ivan Vuković, who operates a number of themed tours of the city, including wine, history, and movie tours, is also accepting cryptocurrency as a method of payment.
“We are accepting crypto payments now for everything as it has became so easy in the last couple of months as PayPal, Visa and other big players have contracted with crypto platforms. In Croatia now you can add crypto payment on your POS machine,” says Ivan.
Ivan and Sasha connected through business.
“Our businesses connected through my ‘Wannabe Croatian Tour’ where I take people to D’vino for wine tasting and Sasha started to run no itinerary wine tours so we both give sustainable and very local insight and experience. We both hate mass tourism.”
“Even if you don’t have crypto to spend, we will still include all the laughs and good times, after all we are the experts in this category. Join us in retirement,” Sasha concludes.
