UEFA Europa League: Dinamo Zagreb Open with Big Win

Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb have opened their UEFA Europa League campaign off with a big home win on Thursday night.
Dinamo Zagreb has thrashed Turkish side Fenerbahçe 4-1 at Maksimir stadium in Zagreb in front of 17,570 fans.
Dinamo could not have got off to a better start when they took the lead in the 16th minute when Ivan Šunjić found the back of the net to score his first goal of the season.
The home side doubled their lead in the 27th minute when a great assist from Mario Gavranović set up Izret Hajrović who finished off the move.
The Bosnian get his second of the match just after halftime after Roman Neustadter got one back for Fenerbahçe two minutes into the second half.

Dinamo Zagreb extended their lead in the 60th minute when Dani Olmo found the back of the net with a well-taken goal.
With the crowd in full voice, Dinamo looked dangerous as they pressed for a fifth goal with young attacker Šunjić looking particularly likely.
The Turks managed to hold it to four but it was a great start for Dianmo who are looking to advance out of the group stage for the first time in the Europa League.
Dinamo go top of Group D with the win after Belgium club Anderlecht went down 1-0 at home to Spartak Trnava from Slovakia in the other match.
Dinamo Zagreb face Anderlecht away in match day two on 4 October 2018.
