Croatian football club Dinamo Zagreb are just one step away from losing points and being thrown out of European club competitions after UEFA handed out another punishment to the club on Wednesday for racist chants made during their Champions League qualifier last month against Sheriff Tiraspol.
Dinamo Zagreb have been fined 65,000 EUR and will have to play their next Europa League match against Dutch side PSV on 24 October in front of an empty Maksimir stadium.
“We will sue our fans that we identify for compensation. Already we are suing four fans because of (actions during the match with) sheriff, and the rest will be caught,” said club director Tomislav Svetina at a press conference today, adding that UEFA will deduct points and expel Dianmo from Europe if there are any more similar problems.
