Unique Exhibition of the Region’s Biggest Record Label ‘Jugoton’ Opens in Zagreb

A fascinating multimedia exhibition titled “Jugoton – East of Heaven – 1947.-1991”, which showcases over four decades of works from the biggest record label in the former Yugoslavia, Zagreb-based Jugoton, has opened at the Technical Museum in the Croatian capital…
The exhibition, which runs through until 30 November, features a large number of vinyl records, posters, photographs, original sketches and works by local and foreign authors. Equipment used to produce vinyls, cassettes, compact discs and record players will also be displayed. Discussions with editors, artists and designers will also take place during the exhibition.
Jugoton, which changed its named in 1990 to Croatia Records, were notable for signing numerous eminent Croatian pop and rock acts, including artists such as Prljavo Kazalište, Bijelo Dugme, Tajči, Tereza Kesovija and Crvena Jabuka.
