The owner seeking the return of his Staffordshire bull Terrier, which went missing in Croatia over Easter, is offering a rather unusual reward for its safe return…
Borna Jakušić is offering a 1979 Porsche 924 2.0 as a reward in return for his dog Čiko, a 7-year-old Staffordshire bull Terrier which went missing in the eastern Zagreb suburb of Peščenica on Easter Sunday.
“In the wish that Čiko is returned as soon as possible, and that this story has a happy ending, I am prepared to gift a car to the finder. The car is an old-timer Porsche – 924 2.0 (1979). The last couple of days I have put posters up in the neighbourhood but there has still been no information,” Jakušić told 24sata.
Čiko is brown with a white stomach and is recognisable by a lower right ear and deformed tail.
***UPDATE***
Čiko the missing Staffordshire bull Terrier has been found safe and well and returned to its owner, but the family that found it have refused to accept the Porsche reward which was on offer.
“We were walking with our dog in Maksimir when Čiko started to follow us. After a while we realised that the dog did not have an owner so we decided to take it in and find its home. We do not want anything in return because we believe that good will come from doing good,” said the humble family who saw the advert looking for Čiko teletext yesterday.
“I feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest. I have had Čiko for seven years and I was starting to feel desperate that he would not return,” said Jakušić, adding that it would have been no problem to give the Porsche in return for his dog.
“After the advert I had offers of other dogs for the car, but there is only one Čiko,” he said, who still wants to gift the family who found his dog with a reward.
