After a two-and-a-half-year break, the first major festival in Croatia took place over the weekend.
More than 40,000 visitors from over 40 countries were in Umag this past weekend for Sea Star Festival, which was organised by the EXIT team.
There were a large number of fans from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, but also fans travelled to Umag from USA, Australia, Israel and even Kuwait.
There was an excitement and positive atmosphere at the festival as music fans had the chance again to party in Croatia after a long break.
This was also felt by Amelie Lens, who said in an interview that the energy of the audience showed that they had been waiting for this for two years.
The credit for this belongs to the excellent international and regional line up of performers who, in addition to Amelia, were led by Dubioza Kolektiv, Onyx, Meduza, Topic, Senidah and Konstrakta and Eurovision winners KALUSH Orchestra.
According to the Umag Tourist Board, 20,000 tourists and 50,000 overnight stays were recorded at the destination from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 May.
