After eight weeks of musical talent and excitement, Croatia has its first The Voice Kids Hrvatska winner.
The grand finale aired on Saturday night on HRT1, where the audience had the final say in choosing their favourite.
Throughout the season, young talents showcased their voices, guided by hosts Iva Šulentić and Ivan Vukušić, along with mentors Davor Gobac, Vanna, Mia Dimšić, and Marko Tolja.
In the end, it was Marino Vrgoč who took home the title. Marino is from Ploče.
Nine-year-old Marino Vrgoč won over the audience with his powerful performances. In the final, he sang Ako me ostaviš by Mišo Kovač and The Great Pretender by The Platters.
His mentor, rock legend Davor Gobac, was full of praise.
“It was an honour and pleasure to work with you. You are a true raw diamond,” Gobac told Marino after his performance of Mišo Kovač’s classic, calling him “brilliant.”
Overjoyed by his victory, young Marino summed up his feelings in a unique way: “Osjećam se haj, mozak baj baj”, quoting lyrics from one of his mentor’s songs.
