Good news for Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic as a completely fit squad trained together for the first time ahead of their crucial Round of 16 clash with Denmark.
With three days remaining till the knockout match against Denmark, the full squad trained for the first time together at their base in Roshchino on Thursday. After the Argentina match, Ante Rebic missed a few training sessions after picking up a foot injury but he was back today.
Vedran Ćorluka and Dejan Lovren both missed previous training runs due to niggles and Marko Pjaca limped off against Iceland on Tuesday night but all were back today as all 22 players trained in the sunshine this afternoon.
Croatia will have one more training session at their base before making the two-hour flight to Nizhny Novgorod on Friday afternoon.
“Knockout stage? Everybody goes 200 km/h for his country. Croatia does, and so does Denmark. There is no favourite,” keeper Danijel Subasic said before training today.
The squad will train at Nizhny Novgorod stadium on Saturday. The match will kick-off on Sunday 1 July at 8 pm CET.
