New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick was not the only person with Croatian heritage involved in Super Bowl LII on Sunday.
The American-Croatian coach came up short in his attempt to win his 6th Super Bowl when the Philadelphia Eagles took the match 41-33.
There was, however, another Croatian performing at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
Croatian dancer Maja Kereš (30) was part of the half-time entertainment, dancing with Justin Timberlake.
Kereš features in Timberlake’s music video for his single ‘Filthy’ and on Sunday she was in Minneapolis to perform to an estimated audience of over 100 million people during the half-time show.
Timberlake’s 14-minute performance has come in for a lot of criticism after his medley was hit by sound problems, but the Croatian won’t be forgetting the experience in a hurry.
Kereš, who was born and raised in Rijeka on Croatia’s coast before moving to pursue a career in Los Angeles, has danced at the Grammy Awards with Busta Rhyme, and appeared in Fergie’s celeb-studded music video ‘MILF $’.
“When I obtained my artist visa for the USA in 2014, I first moved to NYC. That was (and still is) my favorite city in the world, I lived there for almost a year already as a student in Broadway Dance Center,” said Maja.
In 2015 she packed her bags and moved to LA and has not looked back.
