VIDEO: Croatian girl steals the show on ‘The Voice Kids’ in Germany

14-year-old Emma Filipović stole the show last weekend on German reality talent show ‘The Voice Kids’.

Emma performed her blind audition on the show and within 30 seconds she had the coaches hitting their red buttons and turning towards her, triggering a huge ovation from the audience.

Emma’s parents Žaklina and Zoran, and her brother Daniel, were backstage, as well as her grandparents, at the Berlin studio giving their support as she performed a rendition of Eminem’s hit single ‘Mockingbird’.

24 hours later and Emma’s performance was trending first on YouTube in Germany and has almost 1 million views already, and on Tik Tok, where one of her videos has more than 6 million views.

‘This girl is magical… She showed me how to rap… How can a kid be so cool?… I got goosebumps from head to toe. This girl is better than Eminem’, were just some of the comments.

Emma, who lives in Vienna, has Croatian heritage and will spend this Easter with her grandmother Ana and grandfather Miro in the family house in Vodice, her parents told daily Jutarnji list.

The 11th season of The Voice Kids in Germany premiered on March 10, 2023 on Sat.1. The coaches this season are Álvaro Soler, Michi and Smudo, Lena Meyer-Landrut, Wincent Weiss.
