Legendary Croatian rock band Prljavo kazaliste, who have wowed crowds since their formation in the late 1970’s, have for the first time in 26 years returned to the Serbian capital Belgrade to play a concert.
Prljavo kazaliste played in front of 13,000 fans on Saturday night at the Belgrade Arena, including Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic. The boisterous crowd were so loud that they drowned the band out as they belted out hits such as Voli me, and Kise jesenje, but they turned quiet after they sung their 1989 cult patriotic hit Mojoj majci (Ruza Hrvatska).
“When the Arena crowd heard the first few cords of Mojoj majci (Ruza Hrvatska), the public who were till then very loud, suddenly went quiet, everybody stopped singing,” reported Novosti. The mood returned when they started their next hit Crno bijeli svijet.
