[VIDEO] Croatian Tourism Video Awarded at World’s Biggest Fair in Berlin

A tourism-promotional video showcasing the Croatian town of Šibenik titled ‘Šibenik you are beautiful’ has been awarded second prize in the Best Tourist Video – Towns – category at the world’s biggest tourism fair in Berlin…

‘Šibenik you are beautiful’, filmed by Skyaction, was first presented to the public just before Christmas and features the picturesque Dalmatian town from the air. Most of the shots are filmed using a drone.

“We are very happy to win this award, it is great news and excellent promotion for Šibenik, and everyone who watches the film has to be proud and happy because of the beauty of this town which we are often not even aware of,” said Šibenik’s Mayor Željko Burić.

“ITB in Berlin, which was held last week, is a prestigious tourism fair and our idea was to promote Šibenik as a destination,” said Director of Šibenik’s Tourist Board Dino Karađole.

Šibenik’s award was Croatia’s only one at the ITB Berlin awards.
