[VIDEO] Europe’s Top Scouts in Split as Teenagers Mark Croatian Derby

A number of Europe’s top football clubs sent scouts yesterday to Split’s Poljud Stadium to watch the biggest match in the Croatian first division – the Eternal Derby between Hajduk Split and Dinamo Zagreb.
Both sides played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday in front 25,000 fans and scouts from a number of big clubs, including Chelsea, Bayern, PSG, Juventus, Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United. There was plenty on show for the scouts, with 5 teenagers, all destined for serious careers, startng the match. Dinamo Zagreb’s side featured the highly rated 17-year-old Ante Ćorić, and Croatian youth internationals Ivan Fiolić (18) and Marko Pjaca (19), whilst Hajduk Split started with two 17-year-olds – Andrija Balić and Nikola Vlašić.
It was the 17-year-old Balić (pictured above) who opened the scoring in the match, firing in from inside the box in the 74th minute. Dinamo equalised in stoppage time through Machado. (photo / sport.com.hr)
